Laguna Cejar

We did a tour out to Laguna Cejar, about 18km south of San Pedro de Atacama. Laguna Cejar is a sink hole lake in the salt flats of the Atacama desert. The brilliant blue lake is famous for its high salt and lithium content which allows bathers to float weightlessly on the surface.

We had a great time playing in the water, doing lots of silly poses as we floated. It was really cool!

The tour included a pisco sour and a snack, so we toasted my dad's birthday and our first proper trip to the desert together.
