Everyone has told us that the south of Chile is something special, so we set off down south on our first Chilean Road Trip. We clocked 3,200km and travelled a further 160km on five different ferry trips. It turns out that "everyone" was right. The south of Chile was beautiful, green, clean, and superlative to Santiago in every way (except maybe tar roads...)! Highlights included a trip up Volcán Osorno, a magical forest and waterfall in Parque Pumalín, and some German culture in Frutillar. What a way to start the New Year!
