Road Trip!

Everyone has told us that the south of Chile is something special, so we set off down south on our first Chilean Road Trip. We clocked 3,200km and travelled a further 160km on five different ferry trips. It turns out that "everyone" was right. The south of Chile was beautiful, green, clean, and superlative to Santiago in every way (except maybe tar roads...)! Highlights included a trip up Volcán Osorno, a magical forest and waterfall in Parque Pumalín, and some German culture in Frutillar. What a way to start the New Year!

Highlight #1: Volcán Osorno

Highlight #2: Waterfall at Parque Pumalín

Highlight #3: Frutillar

Our trusty little Suzuki Swift which took us nearly 3,500km around the south of Chile

Our itinerary included the following places:
Vilches Alto
Valdivia
Puerto Varas (Volcán Osorno, Saltos de Petrohué)
Parque Pumalín (Río Gonzalo, Cascadas Escondidas, El Volcán)
Chiloé
Frutillar
